The Albanian Faith Foundation, in partnership with the City of Pogradec, the Lions Club of Pogradec, and many volunteers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints completed the needed remodeling of the Liri Como Kindergarten. Together we were able to paint the entire school, replaced all windows and frames, sinks, doorways, and provide heaters for each classroom – just in time for winter.

In May, communities in the District of Korca, Albania were struck by a significant earthquake resulting in the damage and loss of many homes and livelihoods. The Albanian Faith Foundation partnered with Lion’s Club of Pogradec to supply families in need after the earthquake. Food packages for 100 families were provided along with 100 blankets, 50 portable beds, and drinking water.

The scope of the Blatas School project included landscaping, painting the school inside and out, replacement and repairs of doors and windows, repairs to the roof shingles, electrical and lighting repairs, desk and chair repairs, installing all new bathroom fixtures and installing water lines and pumps from the water well that was re-drilled by the Lions Club of Pogragdec. We also installed playground equipment with swings and slides.

In Gjirokaster Albania, The Albanian Faith in Every Footstep Foundation will be installing a Playground at a small elementary school (Baba Rexhepi) in Lazarat, and make updates to improve the school. Next to the playground is a Senior Center used by the elderly to come and socialize. It’s common to see them play dominos or chess & enjoy interacting with others.
