We are pleased to report the completion of the School project in Pogradec, Albania. The Albanian Faith Foundation, in partnership with the City of Pogradec, the Lions Club of Pogradec, and many volunteers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints completed the needed remodeling of the Liri Como Kindergarten. Together we were able to paint the entire school, replaced all windows and frames, sinks, doorways, and provide heaters for each classroom – just in time for winter. Outside painting, landscaping was redone and a playground was installed. New furniture was provided, chairs, tables, bookshelves, and bunk beds for the children nap time.
Your donations have made
a big difference in the daily lives of 120 school children and their teachers. The children were singing with excitement to finally have heat in their very cold cement school building. The students and the teachers can feel your love reaching halfway across the world helping Albanians that you have never met, this is Christ’s love in action. Thank You to all our volunteers how worked so hard and to Xhuljo Kashari, our in-country Project Coordinator.
